UBUMUNTU ARTS FESTIVAL

  • Aims to improve social fabric and unity of Rwandans and people from around the world
  • It enhances the healing of mental/ emotional trauma. Healing the “Scars of souls”
  • Key interventions: Art festivals (performances, Genocide Memorial visits, etc.) at national & international
  • Target: Rwandans (traumatized by the 1994 Genocide) and all people around the whole world with Scars of souls

ARTS AND SKILLS DEVELOPMENT

  • Aims at a sustainably improved socio-economic status beneficiaries: Youth In & Out of school
  • Focus on building capacities in Arts and other transferable skills
  • Catalyzes the creative economy, nationally & internationally
  • Key interventions: Auditions, capacity building, workshops, learning visits, education, Arts performances, etc.

CREATIVE ARTS THERAPY

  • Healing the trauma / “Scars of Soul” caused by early pregnancy/marriage
  • Sustainably improved socio-economic status of beneficiaries: Teenagers & Young mothers
  • Contributing to the prevention and or reduction of early pregnancies/marriage

Key interventions: Healing workshops, healing Arts performances, counseling, capacity building, partnership and collaboration, national, international, etc.

COMMUNICATIONS AND PUBLIC RELATIONS

  • Aims at promoting the UAO, its systems and programs, and achievements for the public
  • Ensures good public relations with UAO, national and globally
  • Key interventions: Education of the public or part of the community, dissemination of information via various channels – social media, mass media, etc.
